About a year ago I bought a 3 bags of "junk" jewelry at a thrift shop, brought them home and separated all the parts. I had no clue at the time what I was going to do with all that stuff - I just wanted to do something to fill time and keep my hands busy. I started stringing stuff at random and within about 30 minutes, it became a rosary. So, I decided that that's what all that "unloved" jewelry wanted to become - rosaries! I've been making them for about a year now. My business hasn't "taken off" as others have, but I keep making them anyway - I'll know why in time. Buy the way, I'm an Anglican, but I do pray the rosary and make both RC and Anglican styles. But my most interesting sales were at a craft sale for the Baptist Missionary Union. I got a lot of weird looks, but also sold 6 rosaries that day. They especially liked the Missionary Rosary I make using different color beads for each of the different mission fields. It also helped that I had prayer cards to go with them. This might be a good tip for others.
